How to create a variant for a food item using Gleeca?
Gleeca’s user interface is designed in such a way that the customers can use the application with no prior training. Adding a variant is super easy.
Step 1: Go to the branch in which you need to add a variant to an item.
Step 2: Click the items option and then go to the variants tab
Step 3: Once you arrive at the variants tab, click Create New button
Step 4: Enter a variant category name and add variants. You can add any number of variants as many as you need and click on create button. Your variant is ready to use.
Step 5: Now go to items tab and create an item/edit an item and enable the variant option of that item.
In the variant category, the variant name will come as a drop-down. Select the variant name and set the cost for each variant. If you don’t want a specific variant you shall disable it for the particular item. After setting the price for each variant you shall save the item after other item settings are configured. Eg: configure the add-on to an item, Item availability based on days, Tags (New, Popular, etc.), compatible order types, etc.
Note: If you disable the variant from the variants tab, it will affect all items mapped to it. But if you disable it on the item page, then the variant will be disabled only for that item.
